- 1935-301: Frederick W. Hamilton made Honorary Past Grand Master by vote of the Grand Lodge. A thorough discussion of the award of Honorary Membership, including incidents in England, Scotland, Ireland, and in the United States, including in Massachusetts by the award to two Brothers at the Feast of St. John in 1845, and a 101-year-old Brother at the December, 1915 Quarterly Communication. The only occasion of award of Honorary Past Grand Mastership occurred with the elevation of Charles W. Moore at the December, 1873 Quarterly Communication, when he was on his deathbed. Brother Hamilton was awarded the title by acclamation.
