Ora Martin, Pastor of the Baptist Church of South Ashfield as Master, with Horace Childs of Conway as Senior Warden. The Lodge was moved to Conway in 1830. It prospered a few years, but surrendered its Charter about 1840, which as I recollect was around the time of the Morgan affair.

Current Status: unknown; charter revoked around 1836, according to petition for restoration offered in 1869 (see below).

NOTES

According to the centenary history of Morning Sun Lodge (1870), the charter was surrendered "about 1840". (See Page 1969-154.)

H. B. Childs is listed as Master for 1829 (See EVENTS below); this is supposed to be Horace B. Childs, who received his degrees in Jerusalem Lodge of Northampton on 12/28/1824 (EA) and 02/21/1825 (FC and MM).
