- 1879-45: A memorial was received from brothers whose names did not appear on the charter of Mechanic's Lodge.
- 1879-66: The petition of brothers claiming to be left off the charter of Mechanic's Lodge were "given leave to withdraw."
- 1879-45: A form of the Ritual in the German Lodge was recommended by a Committee.
- 1879-46: Despite a second communication, the Grand Lodge did not find it "at present expedient" to grant recognition to the Grand Lodge of New South Wales.

- 06/11/1879: 1879-33; Masonic Temple, Boston. A meeting (preceding the June Quarterly Communication) to discuss the report of the Committee on the Financial Condition of the Grand Lodge. A recommendation was offered for a capitation tax at $1/year for each affiliated Mason for 15 years to retire the debt. (Approved later in the day by vote.)
- 06/24/1879: 1879-53; Salem. Feast of St. John the Baptist; the centennial of Essex Lodge, Salem. A procession, ceremony, banquet and address by Grand Master Welch.
