KEY TO SAMUEL CROCKER LAWRENCE LIBRARY CATALOG
The Samuel Crocker Lawrence Library uses a proprietary cataloging system to identify its holdings. This is employed in preference to more mainstream systems such as Library of Congress or Dewey Decimal because so much of the material belonging to the library collection is Masonic; neither of those systems provides sufficient granularity between types of Masonic works to be useful.
The following pages provide a numerical index to subject topics, as well as an alphabetical index for topics so that the corresponding number can be identified.
