REGULAR SESSIONS
ANNUAL SESSION, 09/01/1819
Meeting held at Newburyport (Ch1-183):
The Grand Chapter opened.
The committee on the fitting of the Masonic Hall at Ann Street reported, and indicated the share for which the Grand Chapter was responsible.
A letter from Titus Strong was read, including a complaint about a violation of the Constitutions.
The committee reviewing the books of the Grand Secretary and Grand Treasurer reported.
The meeting elected the following officers for the Grand Royal Arch Chapter for the ensuing year:
- James Prescott, Grand High Priest
- Robert Lash, Grand King
- James Morse, Grand Scribe
- Thomas Jackson, Grand Treasurer
- John Loring, Grand Secretary
Due to his election as High Priest of a Chapter, the Companions were notified that Comp. Joseph Brown was ineligible for election, and the Grand Chapter voted its thanks for his service.
The Committee on the revision of the Grand Constitutions offered the following report: "the future meetings of said Grand Chapter ought to be permanently held in Boston, viz.: on the Tuesday preceding the second Wednesday in June, September and December; and that the Annual Meeting for the choice of officers shall be in December. And that the officers this day elected and appointed, and those to be appointed, shall hold their offices until the election of December, 5820, but in the meantime the meetings shall be held on Tuesday, as above reported."

The Grand Chapter opened.
The committee appointed to investigate the complaint of Comp. Titus Strong was given leave to sit again.
The committee on the revision of the Grand Constitutions committed their report to be considered at the next communication.
As he was elected as High Priest of a Chapter, Comp. Robert Lash declined election as Grand King. Accordingly, Comp. Caleb Butler was elected Grand King.
The elected officers were installed into their respective positions.
A petition was received for Montgomery Chapter in Bath, Maine, and a dispensation was issued.

A petition was received for Jerusalem Chapter in Hallowell, Maine, and a dispensation was issued.
