03/13 Agenda

  • V-324: Report of the committee on District Grand Lecturers.
    • 12/10: V-346; Full report by committee; adopted; election of one lecturer per district. "That in consideration of the great convenience to urge no other reason of a uniform system of Work and Lectures and as this Grand Lodge has with great unanimity recommended such a system . . . it shall be the duty of the Grand Master to appoint some well qualified Brother to each Masonic District, as District Grand Lecturer whose duties and prerogatives shall be within his respective District, the same as those of the existing Grand Lecturers of the State. . ."

  • V-335: Communication from the Grand Lodge of New York, communicating the opinion of the Grand Lodge of England.
    • V-336: Report on General Grand Lodge tabled.
  • V-337: Grand Lodge declined to participate in the proposed "Railroad Jubilee" on 09/19/1851, to celebrate the first rail service between Boston and Montreal. Grand Lodge to offer "civilities" during the day. An evening would be set aside for the festivities.

  • V-337: Complaint against St. Paul's Lodge, Groton, regarding initiation of a candidate from New Hampshire.

  • V-357: Report of the Committee on Charity.
  • V-357: Instruction session. A committee from the Grand Lodge of Maine was in attendance.
  • V-360: Installation of Grand Master Randall and other Grand Lodge officers. "Appropriate and interesting valedictory address" by Past Grand Master Raymond. The Grand Master then offered an "interesting and animated address."
  • V-360: Presentation of a Masonic Jewel by Hon. Bro. Myron Lawrence of the Massachusetts State Senate, once in the possession of George Washington.
