At the 1889 Annual Communication it was reported, "The lodge at Bismarck sent in their charter and asked to be accepted and certified as a member of the Grand Lodge of Dakota. They were warmly welcomed by the Officers of the Grand Lodge. Their charter was returned bearing the No. 16."
