Grand Chapter opened.
- Finance.
- The meeting elected the officers for the Grand Royal Arch Chapter for the ensuing year, with R. E. Stephen Lovell elected Grand High Priest; other officers elected and appointed as noted on Pages ChI-625 and ChI-629.
- A new charter for Washington Chapter of Salem was issued; text of the charter appears on Page ChI-626.

Held at Mason's Hall, Boston (ChI-627):
Grand Chapter opened.
- A committee reported that money and documents for the Grand Treasurer had been transferred to the new holder of that office.
- The committee on regalia reported that some items had been sold, and that the committee was authorized to procure three sashes.
